According to a new report from MacRumors, Apple’s CarPlay system is set to feature in many of the new vehicles that will be showcased at the upcoming Los Angeles Auto Show.

CarPlay enables hands-free access to various essential iOS apps, including Maps, Messages, Phone, Music, and other third-party apps.

The following 2018 and 2019 vehicles will all have CarPlay included, either as a standard feature, or as an upgrade feature.
  • 218 BMW i3
  • 2018 BMW 6 Series Gran Turismo
  • 2018 Hyundai Kona
  • 2018 Jeep Wrangler
  • 2018 Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross
  • 2018 Porsche Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid Sport Turismo
  • 2019 Audi A8
  • 2019 Genesis G70
  • 2019 Lincoln MKC
  • 2019 Lincoln Nautilus
  • 2019 Mercedes-Benz CLS
  • 2019 Porsche Cayenne
  • 2019 Subaru Accent
  • 2019 Volvo XC40
The 2018 Volkswagon Tiguan R-Line, 2019 Kia Sorento, and 2019 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 coupe and convertible are all also thought to support CarPlay, although these have not been officially confirmed yet.

The list of vehicles that don’t support CarPlay is getting shorter and shorter, but there are still a few, including the 2018 Mazda6, but hopefully that’s going to change very soon. “As a company we continue to look into implementing Car Play into future Mazda vehicles,” a Mazda spokesperson told MacRumors.

Jaguar Land Rover is another company yet to include CarPlay in its vehicles, which include Land Rover, Range Rover, and Jaguar. Lexus and Infinit are two other hold-outs.
