So this is my flatmates phone and seeing as how the world is about to end its been the bane of my existence. Im generally a google fix kind of a guy but I cant find anything that will work.
The Iphone 4 is in recovery loop and its never been jailbroken. When I try update and restore in iTunes the recurring error I get is error 21 (I have had other errors with different methods of trying to get it going but this is the one it always comes back to). My flatmate cant tell me what version firmware she was running.
What I have tried-
- Thought it was the battery at first so wipped it out and put a new one in
- Tried to recover in recovery mode, DFU mode and Pwnd DFU
- Tried kicking it out of recovery loop with tiny umbrella,redsnow, iReb and fixrecovery this causes it to loop the apple screen boot instead.
- Turned off all security settings and tried to restore
- Tried using tinyumbrella to downgrade it to an older firmware (3.1 3.2 3.3, 4.1 etc)
- created a custom firmware with snowbreeze tried to get that going on it.
- Downloaded the latest firmware for the iphone 4 and tried to "shift" restore that
- EDITED THE HOST FILE
- Updated to latest Itunes
- Changed computers
- Dissasembled the whole phone and cleaned everything with contact cleaner.
- Changed Iphone cable
Is there anything Im missing or is the logic board just stuffed?
