If you chose Push in Settings - Mail, Contacts, Calendars - Fetch New Data, they should load automatically.
To see that new emails arrived, you have to enable Notifications for the accounts. That has to be done in Settings - Notifications - Mail. You can select a notification sound for every email account, enable "Badge App Icon", so you'll see the number of unread emails in the Mail app,...

You can go to Settings>Mail, Contacts, Calendars>Fetch New Data and slide the Push switch to on. This way, any new messages will automatically download as long as your iPhone has a working internet connection.
