E-Mail Set Up

I am having a problem with my email.. It will receive them just fine. The problem is sending them.. I know all of my info, but it just will not work. I have had 3 Android phones & set those up with the same info with no problems. Is their a trick to this iphone that I'm not aware of? This is a pop account by the way. My Gmail account works fine.

Are you setting up Gmail on your phone?

Because if you are, the best way to do that is to follow this setup as an exchange instead of pop.
