I have a spare 3GS that I am taking on for repair purposes. (Repairing electronics is a hobby of mine)

2 problems have come up thus far during this.

1) Replaced the LCD as well as screen+digitizer. Upon successful boot, some "touches" will not work. For example... Phone password is 0361. I have to press the "3" area multiple times to get it to work. Sometimes the areas do not even respond.

2) I have discovered that Connector #3 is causing some issues for me. When it is "connected", the phone will boot to the apple logo, then a spinning wheel is presented. It will do this for what seems like forever. I've left it on for over 2 hours and it will not boot to home screen. When it is not connected, it boots fine. Any help with the possible cause?

If this is in the wrong forum, I apologize. Thanks!

So you replaced the whole screen with the frame? Just the two screws and the connector if I remember correctly...?

I replaced the broken screen/digitizer

It also had a damaged LCD. I replaced it as well.

The screen/digitizer is connector cable #2 and the LCD is connector #1.

The proximity sensor and earpiece are connector #3.

So you didn't replace it all in one then? You bonded the new pieces together...?
