The above video is of an innovative app for the iPhone 5S (and iPhone 5) that must be seen to be believed and appreciated. The app is called Cycloramic, from Egos Ventures, and it literally transforms your iPhone 5 or iPhone 5S into a panoramic camera. The most amazing thing about it is that it can work without your intervention. The app does this by controlling the vibration motors inside the iPhone and timing this function to rotate the phone on a flat surface as it films a 360-degree HD video. Alternatively, and you can also capture a 360-degree, 44-megapixel panoramic photograph without even touching the phone!
Apparently, it's the flat edges and balanced weight distribution of the iPhone 5 and iPhone 5S which allow this to work so well with these devices. It just goes to show that Apple's amazing design skills can be just as useful and versatile as they are aesthetically pleasing.
