Contact details problems

My iPhone4 with ios5 all of a sudden wont recognise my contacts numbers when they text? Their phone numbers r in my contacts, but in my texts only their numbers come up?

I have tried to put + and then area code in but it hasnt solved the problem.

Not sure whats happening? Please help

I had the same issue, I am with Verizon and they had me dial *228 I think it was for an update.
