Connecting to home WiFi

I just purchased an iPhone 12 for my wife and need help connecting this phone to our home modem, which is a CenturyLink.
I do not understand the MAC address part or the IP address stuff.
Would someone please walk me through the process of configuring this phone to be accepted by my modem?

It is usually as simple as going to your Wi-Fi Settings on the phone, selecting your modem/router from the list and putting the user password of the modem into the field showing.
