Chnge in behavior of Updates in App Store

I've just noticed a change in behavior in the App Store. Previously, when I had notification of an update to an installed app (number in a red circle on the App Store Icon), all I had to do was to open the app, select updates, click (touch) the Purchased header, and the updates would begin downloading. Now, nothing happens when I touch either the Purchased header or one of the apps with an update. To install the update, I have to go to Search, find the app and select install.

I don't like this loss of function at all! Has anyone else noticed the same behavior?

I apologize if this is a repeat of another thread. I did a search and didn't find anything similar.

I should have included that I have an iPhone 4 running the latest update to ios5.

first completely close the app store application from the background, if that doesn't help then hard reseting your iPhone should correct that issue.
