Despite there being enough space a false non interactive screen comes up on my iphone 6plus as per attached pic. Any solution pse?

Try resetting your iPhone:
Press and hold Home and Power button until the Apple logo appears. Release both. The iPhone will power up on it's own.
This won't remove data or change settings, but it might help with your issue.

Take a look at Settings - General - Storage & iCloud Storage - Storage: in "Available", what exactly do you see there?
