Since getting my new iPhone 4S with AT&T Wireless, I have tried three different BT headsets in this order:
Jawbone Era
Jawbone Icon HD
Plantronics Voyager Pro HD
I experience problems with each and return them thinking there is a problem with the headsets. I'm now on the Plantronics experiencing issues and I'm starting to think that maybe the problem really is with the iPhone 4S. With the two Jawbones, I experienced odd electronic noises when the Jawbone Noise Assassin feature is turned on. Additionally, I would hear the voice of the person I'm talking to on the other end simply cut out from time to time. They would mention that they would hear a "white noise" kind of sound when that happened. I would also notice sound quality suffering when I use data during a phone call. With the Plantronics, it seems that the headset would lose connection to the phone especially when I wasn't using it... sometimes the headset would simply turn off even with plenty of battery charge left, and sound quality suffers when I use data while on a call. Also, the battery life for the Plantronics is simply terrible. It is supposed to have 5 hour talk time and 5 day standby. It doesn't even come close to either.
Is anyone else experiencing BT problems with their iPhone 4S? Or with these particular headsets, as well?
