Blaring sound

The audio on my phone is distorted when I use the ear speaker, but when I put the person on speakerphone, it's okay. What can I do? Thanks in advance.

Check your speaker in Settings > Sounds & Haptics. Slide the slider back and forth to see if the speaker works properly. Clean the speaker with a soft cotton cloth, a soft bristle brush, or use electrical tape. You never know what might get on the speaker. I got ketchup on mine once. Sounds were low and distorted. Cleaned it with a slightly damp cloth. That fixed it.
