My wife dropped her iphone 4s a couple of weeks ago while on vacation and shattered the front and back glass. Due to not having apple care or insurance on the phone I decided to fix it myself. I replaced the digitizer and everything worked great for several days. Then all of a sudden, the ear speaker started popping and sounded like it was busted. Then the next day the loud speaker would only work at about 3 bars and then it is so distorted that you can't understand it at all. I did a hard reset which didn't work. I reset the phone to factory default settings which did not work. I completely restored the phone and that didn't work so I decided to purchase new speakers. I replaced the ear speaker and speaker module and noticed the ear speaker problem was fixed. But the loud speaker is still doing the exact same thing. Does anybody have any suggestions?? I have no clue what to do now.....
