Hi,
I have successfully jailbroken/unlocked my 3GS on IOS 5.01 ( Flashed BB 06.15.00) and have no problems whatsoever with my Cydia pkgs/tweaks functioning properly as of now ( fingers crossed) .It seems that it's proper that I do save my SHSH Blobs for future use if I do need a fresh JB or accidentally upgrade to 5.1.
My cydia home screen shows " SHSH:IOS 4.1,5.01.5.1".
Under these conditions and more so being somewhat technically compromised ,What would be the best/least complicated way to do so ?
Do I need to create/save signed Firmware too for future use ?
Am on a Windows box.(Windows 7- 64 bit)

Thanks in advance.

The best way to save those blobs to your PC is to download and run the latest version of Tiny Umbrella (TU). Then, make it a habit to always run TU every time the developer updates it. Then, you'll always have access to those blobs for future custom firmware builds.

TU saves the SHSH blobs to your device to a hidden file (.shsh) on your PC, making it easily accessible to any Jailbreaking or custom IPSW program.

Thanks for the help.
Do I need to download the IPSW and create the custom firmware and save it now or can it be safely done later ?
