How long do I have to purchase AppleCare for my iPhone 6 after buying it?

You can buy AppleCare+ within 60 days of your purchase.

I believe that in addition, Apple will have to check out your iPhone to make sure it has no damage before selling you the AppleCare+.

It's also possible to do this via phone call. You have to run a remote diagnostic and prove that you purchased the device.

When I bought it for my 5, when those first came out, I didn't buy Applecare when I placed my phone order. So I had to go into the Applestore that first crazy weekend and let them physically inspect the phone for visible damage.
