When you're on the look out for new set of headphones the process is simple. You go to the store selling headphones, and most of the time you can plug in your iPhone and give them a try before you buy. Unfortunately with in-ear headphones, that's not the case.

It would be pretty gross if stores gave customers the ability to try on in-ear headphones. It's unsanitary and there would be a boat-load of ear wax at the demo stations, yuck. Due to this, folks kind of have to hope they like the in-ear headphones they buy based on reviews.

Apple has apparently found a solution to this and will be allowing customers to test out in-ear headphones at Apple Stores. Customers will be able to pick out which headphones they would like to demo and an Apple employee will give them a fresh pair of ear tips.

The "Demo Kit" program will begin this week at Apple Stores across the nation. If you've been eyeing some in-ear headphones, you can now give them a try before you buy.
