[FONT=&quot]The Wall Street Journal reports today that Apple is on the verge of being able to offer the iPhone 4 in China via China Mobile. This is particularly significant for Apple because not only is state-owned China Mobile the biggest carrier in China, it is in fact the biggest carrier in the world, with 600 million subscribers. Apple already sells the iPhone in China via China Unicom, the second largest carrier in China with 200 million subscribers. According to the WSJ’s sources, the iPhone will probably be available via China Mobile within the next 12 months. Exactly when depends on whether or not Apple elects to go with China Mobile’s homegrown technology standard, TD-SCDMA, or opts to wait until the roll out of the carrier’s fourth-gen network, TD-LTE, which it has been testing in some cities in China. “China has the potential to become the second largest and perhaps even the largest market [for the company] over time,” Shaw Wu, analyst with Sterne Agee in San Francisco told the WSJ.

Yeah it will also be fulfill with great censorship. Damn it how these companies helping censorship of everything in China. There will not be any YouTube any google any Facebook any twitter any daily motion any Justin any VPN settings. Google map will be just like China wants it to be, Chinese will be very happy though, and that's why they will all buy it like usual. Thanks that the prepaid option will still be there and that HongKong will always offer factory unlock iPhones.
