What's new

Anyone can recommend a app to help lose weight?

Unless there's a particular app out there that'll turn your iDevice into a treadmill or weight bench... I doubt any of them will help you lose weight. However, there are many apps that give you tips for weight loss and help track progress you're making. Check out the App Store section "Lifestyles."

Thanks so much. I am losing weight now.

Hi Jonenisker...

There are many apps discussing carb count/glucose monitoring. These are specifically geared towards people that have diabetes, however these apps can be useful to anyone wanting to reduce carb intake.

Here are a few that I have recommended. I think most of these apps are universal, except one. This was originally done for our ipadforums.net site.

Glucose Buddy (free or $6.99)

Lose it (free-iPhone)

Calorie counter by MYNetDiary

Also, here's a great pedometer app that might come in handy with your exercise component...

Now that made Me chuckle *lol*
I use lose it. Nice app easy to keep track of what you eat and calories etc.

Yeah, there are a lot of aps out there that can supplement your health/workout program. I personally keep track of what I eat and work out. MyFitnessPal is a good ap to keep track of all the work you're doing to achieve your goal. Fooducate is a good reference ap where you can scan products and it will grade them and let you know if it's healthy for you or not. Good luck with your goal.

My friend really likes Recovery Record. It says that it is targeted for people with eating disorders but it is great for helping you stay on track with weight loss. It reminds you to log what you have eaten all the time and sends out positive notifications (who doesn't like hearing that they have done a great job)

I personally like the workout apps that are geared for busy people and have a timer on them. Daily workouts free version is easy! When im brushing my teeth ill just turn it on and do some squats or leg lifts.

Hope this helps :)
