WhatsApp customised settings

Hi - can anyone answer a question for me please? If I’ve customised ringtones/message notifications for a contact in WhatsApp, will I lose those settings when I upgrade my phone or will the app retain the settings?

If you set up your new iPhone from the backup of your old iPhone, the settings should stay the same.
