Add ring tones

I was trying to add ring tones to my phone i did all the proper steps of putting them in iTunes in the tone section but I cannot get them to load to my phone when I look in the ringer section there is no custom area where did it go and what did I do with I know it should be a area in my phone for custom ring but I do not see it I have a jailbroken iPhone for I have just learned how to SSH into my phone I also have on Ifile is it possible I can put this back with someone's help don't make the mistake of thinking I know what I am doing but I am more than willing to do it after all I always learn from my mistakes and believe me throughout the years I have learned a lot

Did you change the profiling of the AAC file to "Ringtone" when you right-click it?
