I have been given a newish iphone 4 as a present but what i cant work out is how comes its a 64gb as its not the s version. Did they make a 64gb ip4?

Nope... only a 16 & 32. Now they're only producing an 8. Interesting that yours is a 64. Can we see some screen shots of your memory?

the iphone 4S is the same as the 4 so you probably got the 4S and think its the 4... check on the side of the phone there is two little holes on each side of the phone that is the only difference in appearance for the 4S. the iphone 4 has a 8/16 and 32GB version and the 4S has a 16 32 and 64GB version.
