Jb for 4.2.8 ahhhh!!! Help!!

OK FINALLLYYYYY I DID IT! UGHHHHHHHHHHHH LOL..

so what i did was.. i didnt delete the host file.. instead.. what i did was i put the '#' infront of all the ips numbers with the gs apple bs.

AND IT WORKED! WHOO HOO!
of course make sure u have tiny umbrella working, and irep THROUGH SNOWBREEZE.

FINALLY MY WHITE I4 IS JAILBROKEN!!

I used snowbreez 2.7 followed steps listed on iH8snOw site to jail break my 4.2.8 version and it worked fine then I restored to factory state just to make sure it worked and i could return or get support if needed. I then re jailbroke my phone no errors all was easy as pie. Think God. I wasnt all that impressed by the iPhone 4 until I applied the jailbreak now this thing is beast. If you need help pm me.

My problem is sn0wbreeze refuses to detect my dfu mode but redsnow will so wth?? I have yet to get any custom ipsw to work aside from the stock 4.2.8 and leaving me tethered the damn 4.2.7 restore won't even work and I "supposed" to have the shsh saved on that....according to tiny umbr.

What OS are you running on your pc/laptop? Where you able to build the ipsw file using sn0wbreeze?

I can help you just need a lil info. dont worry i got my buddy thru this and his is now in untethered jailbreak heaven.

Sometimes if the jailbreak fails on the first attempt files are left behind that seem to prevent it from working correctly you may have to rename them or move the to a diff location other than in the folders itunes stores its files for the iphone at.

I had the same problem but I figured out that when I downloaded the ipsw,... it came in as a zip file. What corrected it was...remove the word "zip" from the file and change it to "ipsw". When I did that, snowbreeze recognized it and the jailbreak worked like a charm. Hope this helps if thats the case!

I just got mine to work after like 4 hours of trying. Make sure you use the dfu mode in sn0wbreeze NOT ireb. And make sure you took the apple out of hosts file.

what is ireb?? and how can u tell???

could you please explain in DETAIL what you mean??? ('#' infront of all the ips numbers with the gs apple bs) what the he-- does all that mean????? and how do you know what tiny umbrella is working and what is it anyway???
