Keep getting a text for a new update my iPhone 4 is jailbroken I don't update I heard that if I do I will loose the jailbrake is that true just wondering on the safe side

Are you getting a random text or are you reading text on the computer while syncing w/ iTunes? As far as your Jailbreak goes... yes, updating to the latest Firmware will wipe your Jailbreak.

No just once in a while I dont have Internet at home only on my phone that's why I got my phone jailbroken don't even use iTunes that much

Interesting... is it an actual text message that you're receiving or a "notification" that comes up asking you to update your Firmware? I'm asking cause this is something I've never heard of... getting text or push notifications about doing an update.

I think it is a notification I have only got it a few times in the last month I'm still learning about all the new tec I'm from the mountains but I am learning fast
