Will the Netflix app play in portrait mode?

I can't seem to find out how to get Netflix to play in portrait mode. Is this even possible?

I don't think it's possible but I thought I'd ask in case somebody found a trick that I haven't.

I'm not sure but if youtube videos, safari videos, camera photos videos, iTunes videos can play in portrait mode then why Netflix will not? I'm not sure because i've never used netflix so it could be set to landscape mode by design for the iPhone app.
