Whattsapp won’t connect via home WiFi

Hi all, I wondered if anyone can help as 2 days ago my whattsapp will not connect via my home WiFi. It’s ok on other WiFi connections but suddenly will not connect at home without any changes. I have done all the suggested actions online such as reset phone, uninstall whattsapp etc but nothing works. Strange thing is I can’t even get onto the whattsapp internet site on WiFi. Just won’t load! I have an iPhone 8. Any other suggestions?? Thank you

Try opening a few random websites via browser. If that doesn‘t work, there might be a problem with your Wi-Fi. In that case, restart your router, make sure it‘s up to date.

Thanks. No problem with any other sites. Restarted router, power off and on too. It works initially for a minute or so before it just says “connecting”.

Just solved it. Seems for some reason my security settings through sky broadband were having an effect. Toggled them through different settings and must have triggered something! Thanks for your help
