Today I refurbished my old iPhone 3G 8GB. I replaced the housing and put everything back together. Worked fine. After that I took the screen off, removed the LCD from the digitizer and re assembled a new LCD/digitizer. I put the phone back together and when the phone is on the screen doesn't turn on. Also, I noticed that the mute switch doesn't make the phone vibrate. Did I break the proximity/light sensor when removing the LCD? I heard that is a very sensitive piece. Or could it be something else? Maybe the digitizer is slightly off set? Please help! Thank you.

Remove everything and make sure all screws and cables are fastened properly.

Did you connect the air intake box to the carbs?

@justin.j: maybe it's timing or bad muffler bearings LOL

Guys, stay in the topic! After all we want to help each other.

I'm sorry! It could be a number of reasons, missed ribbon connector, or something. I have never replaced a screen other than taking one out to get to the rest of the hardware.

I didn't mean to bother anyone!
