Way around "restart springboard" on cydia?

I have an iPhone 3gs 5.0.1 and it is jailbroken. I know I need frash and sbssettings to use flash player, my problem is that sbssettings wants me to restart springboard which I read ends badly. Any way around this? I really want flash, thnx

Restarting your springboard is not a bad thing, and it is necessary after installing apps that modify the system files. Frash will not work on 5.0.1, Skyfire is the only way to view a very limited number of flash videos on an iDevice.
