Voice to text problem

Why doesn't voice to text work on facebook? It works for everything else but in fb the little microphone is grayed out.

You probably have to enable the microphone to work with Facebook. Go into privacy settings and see if Facebook is listed among the permissible apps.

I just checked my settings and FB is not listed. Ironically I went into Facebook and did a test and the microphone works. Weird.

I went to settings and privacy and dont see anything about enabling the mic. also went to setting and Facebook, dont see anything there either. am i looking in the wrong place? this is very frustrating.

Yes, there are apps there but nothing about ADDING apps. Trying deleting the app and then download it again.
