Vacationing in Cancun next month--what do I need to do re:phone, data, etc?

Wife and I are heading to Cancun for a week in June to celebrate our anniversary. What do I need to do to make sure I don't get a $200,000 phone bill?

The hotel will have wifi, I'm assuming I can just turn off cellular service, use Skype or Face Time to call the kids, etc.

We have AT&t, I have no clue if there's a reciprocal coverage plan that would allow a week's calls in Mexico without buying a disposable phone?

just turn off cellular and thats it... youre right.

Well you could call ATT and ask their rates or if you could change SIM or turn on airplane mode and then turn on wifi. I don't know if your phone's unlocked but if so you can use other carriers all over the world.
