update from 4.3.5 to 5.0.1

hey can anyone help me i have an iphone 4 ios 4.3.5 tethered jailbroken can i upgrade to 5.0.1 and jailbreak it with an untethered one and if this is possible how to do it tkx

Unfortunately there's no way to Update your iP4 to iOS 5.0.1. Apple is no longer signing this iOS version. Therefore, your only option is to update to iOS 5.1, that's currently being signed. Unfortunately again... there isn't an Untethered JB for 5.1 at this time.

You can upgrade to 5.0.1 on one condition.

You have to download Tiny Umbrella and click save SHSH.

If iOS 5.0.1 shows...which it probably will I bet.....

THEN YOU CAN UPGRADE TO 5.0.1.

I really wish people would quit telling everyone they cannot ever restore to 5.0.1 ruining someone's happy untethered jailbreak with misleading information. WOW!!!!!!

You guessed it right. got 4.3.3 now want to restore to 5.0.1. downloaded umbrella and saved shsh 5.0.1 showed up. what next ?

Create a custom IPSW with iFaith using a 5.0.1 IPSW and your SHSH blobs.
