Chantelle makes a good point. However, if you're using At&t they WILL NOT unlock your iDevice.Call up your network and ask them to unlock. Tell them you plan on putting an international SIM into the phone for a while. There will be a charge to do so though.

Unfortunately... I've never heard of At&t Unlocking an iDevice for anyone. :-(Its crazy how at&t dont do this. Even for their long term paying contract holders?

The only adverse outcome to a Jailbreak is installing tweaks/packages that can possible put a heavier load on your battery.i'd like to know whether jailbreaking has any adverse effect on the phone ?
