TRIED EVERYTHING and still can´t restore with Custom 5.0.1

Hey guys. I´m hopeless, please help me out...

I´ve downloaded several custom 5.0.1 ipsw files, and made some more with snowbreeze and redsn0w, but I still can´t get it to work on my iphone 4.

I go into DFU, pwnboot with iReb and here´s what happens:

- Using tinyumbrella, I get iTunes error 11
- When I add 74.208.10.249 gs.apple.com, Itunes gets stuck on "verifying iphone with apple..." and then, after 5 minutes or so, I get either 1600, 1602 or 1604
- When I erase the gs.apple.com lines from the hosts file, I get error 3194
- I tried on different computers, both pc and mac, switched usb cables and ports...
- I even got the snowbreeze logo on one of my attempts, but after the progress bar started to fill, itunes error 10 popped , and I ended up in recovery mode and with no iOS... (had to restore to 4.2.1)

ADDITIONAL INFO:
Iphone 4 16gb
Gevey
Baseband 03.10.01
I get no errors restoring 4.2.1, or semi-tethered 5.1

I don´t know what else to do, any suggestions?
