Transferring Data to iPhone 15 Pro

I currently use a iPhone 12 and I"m moving to an iPhone 15 Pro. After moving the data to the 15 I want to set up the 12 for my wife who currently uses a Pixel 3.

To prepare the iPhone for my wife do I do anything other than resetting it? If I understand correctly my data is still on the 12 so should I sign out of iCloud & Find My before resetting?

Yes, you should sign out of iCloud and Messages, then restore the phone to factory settings.
