I have a question for anyone out there who may be able to help me. Is it possible to get iOS 1.0 on my iPhone 4s? Would jailbreaking the iPhone 4s allow this? Does anyone have any ideas to help me?

I know this is a drastic move; I would say it is also unprecedented. I have always that iOS 1.0 was very simple yet very effective. I want to return to the days that were...the days of iOS 1.0.

  1. iOS 1.0 was an obsolete OS in technology standards 5 years ago let alone today. No one in their right mind would go back to iOS 1.0. You'd be better off getting a basic flip phone as that's the equivalent of iOS 1.0
  2. The iPhone 4S comes with iOS 5.0 base. iOS 5.0 was released with the 4S, and since the 4S was not released over 6 years ago, iOS 1.0 did not exist, and would basically use 1/1000th of the available resources that the 4S has.
  3. Even if iOS 1.0 existed for the 4S, you cannot downgrade the iOS of an iPhone 4S or 5, regardless of whether you jailbreak it or not.
Solution: If you want iOS 1.0, get an iPhone 2G and downgrade it to 1.0.

Other than the base apps from Apple that came with iOS 1, no other apps will work. At all. None. If you want something simple, get a simple flip-phone.
