Ticketmaster, LoungeBuddy and Groupon Get In-App Apple Pay Checkout

Aside from being useful to pay for goods and services at physical retailers and eateries, Apple Pay can also be used as an in-app checkout facility. As with physical outlets, the number of apps that are adding this option is increasing daily.

9to5 Mac reports today that three more apps have today added Apple Pay facilities, namely Ticketmaster, LoungeBuddy, and Groupon.

The Ticketmaster app lets you buy and sell tickets for thousands of live music, sporting, theatre, family, and arts events, and with its most recent update, you can now use Touch ID and your secured credit card information at checkout. This is available for all Apple Pay compatible devices (i.e., iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus, iPad mini 3, and iPad Air 2).

LoungeBuddy is an app that displays all the airport lounges in more than 500 of the busiest airports in the world, and has now added Apple Pay as an instant payment option for its Instant Lounge Access feature in the United States and United Kingdom. Only iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus users will be able to take advantage of this facility, however.

And last but not least, the Groupon app has now extended its range of compatible devices with which you can use Apple Pay to iPad Air 2, and iPad mini 3.
