Things the iPhone Does

I am brand new to iphone, and I am pretty new to smart phones in general. I would like members to tell me some of the things this phone can do besides calls and apps and connecting to the Internet, i.e. things a new user would never think of or imagine. For instance, I just accidentally discovered that there is flashlight built into this phone! How convenient!

Also, what on earth is a Portrait Orientation Lock??????
