The only think you can do is change the background picture. However if you are jailbroken then you can do themes and a lot more. The only way to jailbreak is been on 4.2.8 firmware because 4.2.10 is not supported.

The new release of Verizon themes will not only include a lot of popular skins built it, but you will be able to easily install skins made by others, or you can create your own unique look(skin).
