Texts sometimes sent as different number

Alright so my iPhone decided today that some of new conversations were being sent with a 972 Dallas Texas area code and I have a 614 area code and when my buddy receive the text it had my full name listed before the actual message

How often has this happened? If it's just one time I think you may have jumped the gun starting a new thread. Did you hang up a couple of times and try again.

If it happens again it's a provider issue.Whomever you are using has things messed up.

And did you check your own phone for what it says your current number is?

It happened a couple times and we messed around a bit with it and it hasn't happened since. Kind of more curious if anyone else has ever expirenced anything like that. Was really interesting
