Telephone-shaped icon appearing?

A small telephone-like/shaped icon appears occasionally on the top of my screen beside my signal strength bar - I can remove it by switching on & off my call-forwarding setting which is normally in the off position anyway. How can I prevent this or why does it happen anyway - (should I get the house blessed?)

When you see that icon it means that call forwarding is enable, it goes away when call forwarding is disable.

Thanks, but, I never intentionally have call sharing activated and even after making sure its off it can still show up????

Is there any phone number attached to the call forwarding setting? If yes remove that phone number and turn it off, then perform a hard reset and you should be set.

No - I have no number allocated for forwarding to.
