Engadget reports that a numerous amount of iTunes accounts are being hacked to buy books from publisher name "mycompany". All of these titles have bumped up to the top of that charts and have potential copyright infringement within them. Here's the quote from Engadget:

We've received a handful of tips this morning claiming something's rotten in the state of the iTunes App Store, namely via the Book category. As of this writing, 42 of the top 50 books by revenue are from the seller Thuat Nguyen, whose company website ("mycompany") leads to parked site Welcome to Home.com. A vast majority of these book apps were released in April, have little to no customer ratings or reviews, appear to be in Vietnamese (despite claims in the side bar that the supported languages are English and Japanese), and may or may not be infringing on copyrighted work -- we're noticing a lot of Dragon Ball art here. To give sales a sense of scope, Twilight series conclusion Breaking Dawn is hovering only at 34 right now.

No word from Apple about this but 9To5Mac reports that these titles have now been removed. Because of the holiday here in the US, I doubt we'll hear anything about this until the weekend is over, or not at all. This just goes to show you that "The Art of Insane Password Combos", is good to practice.

Hacking accounts to buy books?!?!? Why not go for all the app store games and apps? Idiots, now is a good time to not have credit card info on your profile

They are being hacked by the company to get their books to the top.

The problem is Apple is just going to with-hold the money and ban them anyway so it's a dumb move :(
