Pocket Gamer reports today that Sid Meiers Pirates! and Civilization Revolution iOS games have both had their prices cut today in honour of it being the Memorial Day holiday in the US. For a very limited time only you can get the iPhone version of either game for £0.69/$0.99, and the iPad version of either game for £1.49/£1.99. Avid PC/Mac gamers may well be familiar with the name of Sid Meier and with both titles, but to give you a little more information for the uninitiated and younger iOS gamers, Pirates! is the classic swashbuckling high-seas adventure where you get to play the part of a captain as you raid and plunder the 17th Century Caribbean, engaging in pirate ship battles and one-to-one sword fights, all in a bid to save your family from the evil Marquis de la Montalban. Along the way youll get to collect secret treasure maps, undertake daring missions, and hand out justice, pirate style.
Civilization Revolution, on the other hand, is a version of Sid Meiers classic seminal God-Sim made especially for hand-held gaming, in which the player strives to become ruler of the world by establishing and leading a civilization from the dawn of man into the space age, waging war, conducting diplomacy, discovering technologies and going head-to-head with some of historys greatest leaders.
