Syncing problems with Google mail contacts

Hi!

I am running IOS 6.1.3 on an iPhone 4.
There are some contacts that after 24 hours when added to my Google mail contacts are
not synced on my iPhone contacts.

I see no way to force a sync,

Any help appreciated.

I am also facing the same issue. I am with two-factor authorization, and guess that therefore I am facing the issue. I have even tried numerous online guides to setup the sync between Google & iPhone Sync. But remain out of luck!

In another formum I got a partial answer:

In settings > mail, calendar > add a cardDav account using google.com (I think) as the sever.

After I did this contacts added from my laptop to Google contacts are almost instantly pushed down to the iPhone contact list.

UNFORTUNEATLY not the other way around. i.e. Contacts added to the iPhone never show up in Google contacts. Horrible software and support from Apple....
