Sync issues with Iphone 3GS - iOS 5.1.1

Hi, I had an iPhone 4 and my friend had an Iphone 3gs. we both exchanged our mobiles. Now am not able to sync music , videos, ringtones or apps. Somehow contacts alone synced. When trying to get apps, it shows as its there in my screen in iTunes (it shows 4 scrollable screens, but in my mobile i have only 3 screens) but my mobile doesn't have anything. i have deleted iCloud account, thinking that could be problem and also set my account in this phone.

Make sure that your AppleID is logged on in iTunes, and that you authorize the PC for use with the 3GS.

I have already tried that with little luck. Anything that am doing incorrectly or not doing? i feel lost.

I'm just thinking here, but just wondering...was this phone returned to factory set up and logged in with your Apple ID, so you could restore from your back up? Maybe that might be part of the problem as why nothing is showing on the 3gs phone.

Hmmm so i have to go through that big process again. Also its not factory unlocked. so i have a big job in hand i guess. i would have to restore it to iOS 5.1.1 with my blobs saved.

the same problem with me. finally i used software of the third party to backup when i needed.
