Stupid question?

I just want to know how to quickly dismiss a call. It doesn't always give me the dismiss option when I have an incoming call. Is this a setting or something I can't change?

There are two features built in to iOS at present for that.

1) You can hit the standby/sleep button to route it straight to voice mail.

2) You can hit the volume button to silence the ring and it will eventually go to voice mail.

The sleep button is the button on top of the phone that locks the device. There is no standby button.

After a very quick, easy and brief search of this forum using the Google search tool up there in the upper right (hint, hint), I discovered this thread: http://www.iphoneforums.net/forum/iphone-general-discussion-12/ringtone-help-28836/. There were a lot more threads, but I posted in this one a while back and knew the directions were there...
