Have you got the audiobooks app? If that's where you bought it from. All my audio books are stored in the app library.

Nothing in there. Book cost me 18 euros. Bit of a waste if it's gone:(:(

Downloading audio books now. I will look into this but my iPhone isn't unlocked so I'm not sure you'll get the same results but it's worth a try for 18 euros!
:O

Edit: perhaps the audio book was stored in a folder? Try searching the entire iPhone. ( as in with the iPhone search bar )

I had a few problems at first with it. If its the same one log into your account via a pc. And locate it in there. Then download it again. Open the app and it should be there. I know audible books had a few problems.

Go to your account settings in iTunes, then click on your recent purchases....then download from there.

That's only if
1) you backed audible books up to iTunes

Since when do you have to backup anything you to iTunes that you bought off Apple to be able to download it later....have never heard of such a thing....not with Apple.

I've had to do it with apps. I restored my phone about a week ago and iTunes prompted me to back up a couple of apps or I would have to repurchase them.

You don't have to. It's your choice.
I'm talking about items you download to the app not the app itself. So when he buys books to that app if further down the line a problem occurs and you have to reset your phone, which I think is the case here with his JB then the app will be recognised by his apple ID but not what he's downloaded to it.
So on this basis it's best to plug it into iTunes once in awhile and back up the additional items to that app (this case books) so when he does a reset he has the books to bring back to the app.

Since this hasn't happened he can simply log into audible books and his downloads will be in the account via a pc which he can download again to his app (that's the long way around)

iTunes didn't help? WOW that surprises me lol. Have you rang audible books? They have a free phone number on their website and are really helpful.
