Something different with the 4S? :(

I plugged my headphones into my 4S and the screen switched off, i unplugged my headphones and the back of the phone got really hot. I then gave it a smell (as you do) and it smells very acidic. Has anyone else had anything similar to this? I think i may have burst the battery somehow :/

Take it in for repair ASAP then. Highly recommend you do a backup because odds are they are going to swap out the phone.
