Simple question

I want to know if i want to do a deep cycle charge. (run the battery right down the charge it right back up) is it healthier for the battery to run to 1% or let it run completely down and turn itself off??

I prefer to let it die. That allows the Battery monitor to know what true dead really is. And when I recharge it, I always let it sit for an extra hour so the Battery monitor knows what full charged is.

And safe is a relative term in this case since the battery can handle it. But it isn't recommend except for every 60 to 100 charges.
