Hello iPhone Forums!
I got this iPhone 5 a few days ago to replace my iPhone 11 Pro, and so far it's been working beautifully :D
However, today I inserted my Three UK SIM card and it said "SIM Not Supported".
I did an IMEI scan on Edited - no website link, it showed it was locked to AT&T D:
I mostly got this phone instead of the iPhone 5S because i wanted a phone that still supported iOS 6 and had a bigger screen (before this i was using iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 4).
I went to about 5 repair shops here in Albania in hopes that I could at least modify the IMSI/IMEI number or something like that, since it DOES get service, none of them helped unfortunately
I submitted an unlock request, however it got denied instantly because the phone was "Active on another account". Before resetting this device I got the final date used, June 7th 2016. The fact that this phone has literally NOT been turned on in 10 years and is "still active" according to AT&T, is just mind-boggling for me!
If anyone can help (preferably in a free way) please put a comment on this post!

The previous owner likely still owes money for the phone or cellular service. That would explain why the unlock request was denied. If possible you should see if you can get a refund from the seller as the phone is useless to you in this condition.
