Why don't you just use iCloud...that way you don't have to do anything Exocet make sure that iCloud is the only account with Contacts toggled on. Simple.

Why not export contacts to windows pc through itunes?

If you updated to iOS 5....you would never have to worry about contacts. iCloud would always backup your contacts no matter what..and as long as you enable iCloud after restores, your contacts will always be restored to your device even If you don't restore from a backup.

And the ultasn0w unlock has been updated for iOS 5.1.1. You will just have to make a custom iPSW to preserve your baseband. As the new Ultrasn0w supports the new 5.1.1 but not the Baseband that comes with it.

If you have a jailbreak iPhone, then look up for IBE SIM Card Manager in cydia, it's a paid app, that application will allow you to sync all your phone contacts to your sim card provide your sim card have enough room for all contacts present in your iPhone.
