Sent mail

I assume there must be a setting to control sent mail. In other words a way to limit how long sent messages are kept.

Emails are not stored locally on your iPhone. Text messages are.

It's your email client that stores them. Your iPhone just displays them. Sent and/or saved emails are not stored in your iPhone.

Ok. The one I sited was a Centurylink account. But now I check my iCloud account and go back to May 2012 with 356 more to de downloaded.

iCloud will back up emails... but they are not stored on your iPhone.

LOL!!! As I said a couple posts ago... all sent, received, archived, deleted, hugged, kissed, loved, despised, etc. emails are stored on your email clients server.
